Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 20, 2026

Quality of Life Community Services, Inc. (“QOLCS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, and shared when you visit qolcs.org, contact us, or follow a link to a third-party service such as our donation platform.

Information you provide directly

The website does not currently offer user accounts, online contact or intake forms, or a newsletter signup form. If you contact QOLCS by email or telephone, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, contact details, the content of your message, and information needed to respond to your request.

Please do not send medical records, Social Security numbers, financial account information, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary email. QOLCS currently provides information, resources, referrals, and appointment-based guidance while direct programs are rebuilt; the website is not an emergency, medical-treatment, or clinical-care portal.

Donations through Zeffy

When you select a donation link, you leave qolcs.org and complete the transaction on Zeffy’s platform. Zeffy may collect contributor and payment information under its own privacy policy and may share appropriate donor and transaction information with QOLCS. Zeffy identifies Stripe as its payment processor. QOLCS does not receive your full payment-card number through the qolcs.org website.

Please review Zeffy’s privacy information before submitting a donation. Questions about Zeffy’s processing should be directed to Zeffy.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting, security, and content-delivery providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include an Internet Protocol address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, referring pages, security events, and essential cookies or similar technologies.

After analytics is enabled, Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure interactions such as page views, resource-link selections, donation-link selections, telephone-link selections, and email-link selections. Google states that its measurement products use cookies and that customers must not send personally identifiable information to Google Analytics. QOLCS will configure analytics to avoid intentionally sending names, email addresses, telephone numbers, medical information, or message contents.

How we use information

We may use information to respond to inquiries, provide requested resource or referral guidance, operate and secure the website, understand which public resources are useful, measure outreach and donation-link activity, maintain records, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

QOLCS does not sell personal information. At launch, QOLCS does not use website information for remarketing or personalized advertising.

How information may be shared

We may share limited information with vendors that help us host, secure, measure, and operate the website or process communications and donations. These may include our WordPress hosting and content-delivery providers, email provider, Google Analytics, and Zeffy. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete an organizational transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Third-party services have their own privacy practices. Links to government agencies, health resources, veteran resources, transportation resources, housing resources, Zeffy, and other external sites do not make QOLCS responsible for those sites’ content or privacy practices.

Cookies and analytics choices

Essential technologies may be used to deliver, secure, and maintain the website. Where required, nonessential analytics will be controlled through an appropriate consent mechanism. You may also restrict cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some technologies may affect site functionality or measurement.

Google provides information about how it safeguards Analytics data and available user controls, including an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Data retention

QOLCS retains personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain appropriate organizational records, or to meet legal obligations. Retention periods may vary by record type. We may delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed.

Data security

QOLCS uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No website, email system, or Internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send highly sensitive information through ordinary email.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information that QOLCS maintains about you, subject to applicable law and appropriate identity verification. You may also ask questions about this policy or opt out of nonessential communications by contacting Info@QOLCS.org.

If your request concerns information collected directly by Zeffy, Google, or another external service, you may also need to contact that provider under its privacy policy.

Children’s privacy

The website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. QOLCS does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a communication with QOLCS, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our website, services, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may be highlighted through an additional notice when appropriate.
